Glass, and only glass

Windshields look simple, but a modern one holds the rearview mirror, a rain sensor, a camera for lane keeping and sometimes a heated strip for the wipers. Putting one in properly means getting the old adhesive trimmed to the right height, the new bead laid without gaps, the glass set square on the first try and the camera re-aimed afterwards. We do glass all day, so those steps are routine for us.

Why we come to you

Over a third of working Cary residents work from home, according to the Census Bureau's American Community Survey. For them, a driveway visit means the windshield gets done between meetings. For everyone driving to an office off I-40 or US-1, the parking lot works just as well. Nobody has to sit in a waiting room or find a ride.

How we work

  • We confirm the right glass for your car's year, model and sensors before the visit.
  • Covers go on the hood, fenders and seats before any glass comes out.
  • Broken side glass gets vacuumed out of the seat, the cabin and the inside of the door.
  • The camera is re-aimed after a new windshield when your car has one.
  • You hear the drive-away time before we leave, and we take the old glass with us.
  • One person from the crew is your contact from the first call to the finished job.

What we like doing

Our favorite calls are the quick saves: a chip caught early and filled before it ran, on a car that keeps its factory windshield. We also like the tricky ones, like a back glass with defroster lines, a wiper motor and an antenna to reconnect, or a camera that needs a full target setup. Either way, we vacuum up before we go and the old glass leaves with us.

Other glass we fix

A chip on the windshield and a cracked mirror glass can often be handled on the same stop. Mention both when you call.
